Our Urban Photoshoot
Ok, first, check out this pic of my wife:

I don’t like to brag, but I just have to say how completely lucky I am to have such an amazing and BEAUTIFUL wife. Because I work at home and she’s a stay-a-home mom, we are together ALL the time, and I love it!
So, today Betsy and I spent some time exploring a passion of ours: Photography! With Miles safely under the watchful eye of Grandma, we headed downtown to drool over the new shiny cameras at Sunny Schick and practice taking some photos of each other in an urban setting. Or at least as urban as Fort Wayne gets…
I’m really happy with how the photos turned out! I owe a big thanks to Bobbie+Mike for their help with photoshop. Betsy does a great job of telling the story, so check our her blog for details. In the mean time, visit our photo page for the pics.
The big news of the day, other than these awesome pics? We bought a new camera! Actually, we bought a second camera, because both Betsy and I love to be the one taking the pics, and now we can! And since photography has become such an interest for both of use, (and part of our budding business) we decided to invest in the Canon 40D.

All I have to say is… Sweeeeeeet! Now all we need is some equally sweet glass and we’re all set. (Mmmm, Christmas, perhaps?)
Hope you all are well.
Much Metta,
John
your photo page link is broken.
Thanks Mike for the heads up! I changed some things around in the site and forgot to update my blog. It should be fixed now. Enjoy!

Two cameras?! Wow. You guys are serious! Great shots all around! I like the ones of Miles best. The one in the coffee shop with the portrait framing and couches in the back is also a fav. I thought the “urban” shots could have looked a touch grittier. I like the one of Betsy in front of the door with her thumb in pocket – it’s got the vibe!
